Design Concept

The design of the catalog centers around a sense of nostalgia. The logo and cover were created using a hand-made collage technique, combining characters from all four films alongside a portrait of Leonid Shvartsman himself,  a visual tribute to his legacy.

The catalog’s physical format and proportions were carefully designed to resemble a VHS tape, referencing the medium through which Shvartsman’s films were first distributed during their original release. Throughout the catalog, graphic elements echo the textures and marks of old tapes, reinforcing the analog aesthetic and paying homage to a bygone era of animation.
